Mon millésime
On the left bank of the Gironde, the Haut-Medoc appellation covers the southern half of the Médoc wine region. Founded on 5 crus under the 1955 classification, the appellation is reserved for still and exclusively red wines. The most planted varieties are mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with a marginal accompaniment of Cabernet Franc or Malbec. True to the Médoc, the aromas of the wines are spicy, with fruit notes. The tannins are very pronounced in the young wines and then mellow with time.
