Meteorological data: good conditions, sun and heat until the end of June. A heavy hailstorm damaged the vines. An ideal end to the season ripened the fruit.
Harvest status:
Date: mid-September.
Abundance: average.
Quality:hail damaged to the vines caused significant losses in several sectors, notably the Côtes de Beaune and Côtes de Nuits.
Overall quality of the vintage: variable from good to excellent.
White Burgundy - 2014
Overall quality of the vintage: Excellent, the best in Côte d'Or since 2010.
2014 lifts the spell from the Burgundy vintages. A high quality vintage, especially on the Côte de Beaune and the great wines of the Côte de Nuit. High yields, with the exception of the plots affected by hail on the Côte de Beaune. Expressive and balanced wines. Good ageing potential.
