Mon millésime
Widely appreciated and exported from the 12th century onwards, the wines of the Cahors vineyards, like so many others in France, were lost to the ravages of phylloxera. It was only after the Second World War that these wines re-emerged to win back lovers of wines of character. Their colour is so deep, it has earned them the nickname of "black wines". Produced in the vineyards of the Lot Valley, Cahors wines offer rich aromas, generally with notes of red fruit and a spicy mouth representative of its predominant grape variety, Malbec. When young, they are powerful and fleshy; allowed to age for 5 to 15 years, they become softer and smoother.
