Domaine de la Vougeraie

It all started in 1964 with a vineyard : Gevrey Chambertin les Evovelles.

Jean Claude Boisset had, even before acquiring this piece of land, the desire to bring all the most beautiful terroirs of Burgundy within a single domain!

And it was in 1999, with his childrens Nathalie and Jean Charles, that he realized this dream with the creation of the Domaine de la Vougeraie.

Based just next to Nuits Saint Georges, in Côte de Nuits, the estate has acquired over the years legendary plots of Burgundy: Musigny, Charmes Chambertin, Clos Vougeot, Chevalier Montrachet…

But also prestigious monopolies such as the famous Vougeot 1er Cru Clos Blanc: Mythical and mystical vine, the work of the first monks of Cîteaux or the Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Clos de Thorey.

Of course, the acquisition of these plots had to lead to sublime wines - and it is a promise kept because each appellation, cultivated in organic viticulture, is vinified with the greatest care by following the rules of biodynamics.

The result in the glass is simply superb, proof is with the notes of famous critics like Allen Meadows.

The domain offers deep, balanced wines, with a beautiful purity which makes it possible to transcribe the character and the precision of each terroir: get bottles of the domain is to touch with the tip of your finger the great names of Burgundy.
