Mon millésime
The Arbois appellation was the first AOC recognized in France in 1936. Its vineyards produce wines of different colours, and extend over twelve communes. One of the twelve, Pupillin, is famous for its grape variety, the Poulsard, and is the only commune entitled to link its name with the Arbois AOC. Arbois reds are distinctive for their very light colour, almost verging on rosé, and for being very fruity with very fine tannins. They lack ageing potential, unlike the white wines that are also produced there.
