LOUPIAC

This appellation in the commune of Loupiac is located in the Entre Deux Mers region of Bordeaux, and shares many common points with other neighbouring appellations such as Cadillac or Sainte Croix du Mont. Its microclimate helps to create the conditions for the development of the fungus, botrytis cinerea, responsible for noble rot, which dries out the grape and concentrates its sugars. The result is fat, sweet white wines of very high quality that have enjoyed worldwide fame for centuries.
