HERMITAGE

On the hill of Tain l'Hermitage, to the east of the Rhône, stand the famous Hermitage vineyards. The hill takes its name from a knight of long ago, wounded in the wars, to whom it was granted and who lived out his remaining days here as a hermit. This hill produces the most prestigious wines of the Rhone, remarkable for their complexity and intensity. Both whites and reds improve over time and never cease to amaze wine lovers.
