Mon millésime
Since 1765, the Rapet estate has been growing its 20 hectares of vines around the famous Corton hill.
Vincent Rapet took over his father's business in 1985. All his attention is focused on the quality of the grapes. Indeed, a great wine is only made from beautiful grapes. Regular ploughing and scratching of the soil, disbudding (and green harvesting if necessary) to control yields, leaf removal of the rows so that each bunch benefits from the best ripening conditions... but also the practice of sustainable viticulture limiting synthetic treatments as much as possible. In the end, it is a question of getting the best out of each terroir. Vintage after vintage, Vincent keeps perfecting his know-how, managing in all his vintages to preserve the balance and brilliance of the fruit as well as the freshness, straightness and mineral intensity that characterize the terroirs of Pernand-Vergelesses and Corton. As much on the pinot noir side as on the chardonnay side, the estate produces some of the finest and most structured wines in the north of the Côte de Beaune.
The whites, fresh, authentic and very balanced, are very quickly welcoming and expressive.
Except for the Bourgogne aligoté, all the white wines produced by the Rapet estate come from the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes are sorted respectfully, put into small crates, pressed with a pneumatic press... before maturing on lees with stirring for a period of 12 months.
The estate's rich reds express fruity and rich notes with mellow tannins, as the ripe grapes know how to give it.
All red wines are made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The bunches are put into small crates to be sorted on a small table in order to respect the grapes. The wine is matured in barrels, 20% of which are new. Filling with a bellows eliminates the need for the pump. All these precautions make it possible to limit the handling of grapes and wine as much as possible in order to preserve all its richness.
