POMEROL

On the right bank, Pomerol is one of the biggest names of Bordeaux. The chateaux of Lafleur, Pétrus and Le Pin all fall within this AOC, the only major Bordeaux appellation with no cru classé. The Pomerol has a beautiful bouquet, rich and complex, that only improves with time. The estates here are generally smaller than in other parts of the region, and production is strictly limited, hence the rarity of its wines.
