The middle of September.
Abundance: very small harvest.
Quality: good harvest, in spite of the rain. Very ripe grapes. " Harvest the grapes in green ". Rot.
General quality of the vintage wine: very good and very homogeneous. Well structured and flexible wines. Average keeping.
White Burgundy - 1995
Cold spring. Warm summer. Rains at the beginning of September.
State of the grape harvests: from September 10th collect very reduced, millerandages. Beautiful Ripe grapes
General quality of the vintage wine: very good. Rich, fruity, well balanced wines and good acidity. Some diluted wines. The best will keep until 2010.
Red Bordeaux - 1995
Meteorological data: premature Spring and summer: wave of heat and drought. Wholesome rains and freshness in September.
State of the grape harvests:
Dates: September 6th, certain Grand Crus have already harvested(already harvested the grapes).
Abundance: moderate Return.
Quality: Bonnematurité; beautiful quality of Merlots.
General quality of the vintage wine: very good. Wines of a beautiful density. Long to keep, until 2015.
White Bordeaux - 1995
Meteorological data: a very premature year. A warm and particularly dry summer. The harvest benefits fortunately from the rain in September.
State of the grape harvests:
Dates: certain wine growers collected before the rain.
Abundance: correct.
Quality: heterogeneous.
General quality of the vintage wine: Good. Rich wines, but often low structure and averagely give a complex.
Syrupy Bordeaux - 1995
Meteorological data: from in the middle of September and until October, beautiful sun.
State of the grape harvests:
Dates: in October.
Abundance: average Return.
Quality: Rotten grapes.
General quality of the vintage wine: rather good. Some good wines, rich and powerful. Some closed. Good to keep.
Rhone Valley - 1995
General quality of the vintage wine: very good. Concentrated, dense wines and, for the best, good to keep.
Loire Wine - 1995
State of the grape harvests:
Quality: dilution.
General quality of the vintage wine: Good. Generous red, good to keep, and attractive whites.
Champagne - 1995
Harvest status:
Quality: Good overall, but average maturation of Pinot Noir and Meunier.
General quality of the vintage wine: Very good. Balanced, lively and well kept wines.
Alsace White - 1995
Beautiful year of rieslings, with a high acidity that predicts a very long ageing period. Very beautiful grey tokay-pinots, with high concentrations of botrytis. Gewurztraminers lack a little finesse. But the Pinot Noir is not to be outdone: full-bodied, full-bodied, long and sunny, the Furstentum cuvée from the Paul Blanck estate is a reference.
