COTES DU JURA

The Côte de Jura AOC extends over the entire Jura vineyard. All the different types of wine (red, rosé, white, yellow, straw) are produced, but whites predominate. They are often made from a blend of Chardonnay and Savagnin grapes, sometimes from single grape varieties. Only the Savagnin is used, however, to produce the famous vin jaune or yellow wine, golden in colour with fruity aromas, or the vin de paille (straw wine), which is well known for its great ageing potential.
